Swine, Chicken and Fish for Miączyn and Arklity - Mar- Kot Communities No. 27-0654-01
This project is to be conducted together with Help your Neighbor Association "Mar-Kot", which provides assistance to socially handicapped people. HPI is going to help the Association to achieve food security for the residents of its seven communities. During the project operation Miaczyn (one of the Mar-Kot houses located on the farm) is going to receive 25 sows and one breeding boar to start the pork production. Arklity - a house for homeless mothers with children - is going to receive egg laying hens to star eggs production and fish fingerlings to restock the pond. Miaczyn is going to be the main source of pork for Mar-Kot residents allowing relocation of funds for other needs. Arklity will be providing fish and surplus eggs to the other Mar-Kot residents.
Currently in Miaczyn and Arklity there are 49 residents (homeless men, women and children), but after necessary remodeling the number of residents will be at about 70. Through pass fulfillment the rest of the Mar-Kot communities' residents (another 170 people) are going to be included into the HPI project.
