Building a Network of 8 HPI Communities for Sustainable Future

This pass back project is designed to answer a specific need of several HPI communities. It will complement previous HPI involvement by giving women and men from HPI projects access to low cost loans. High operational costs, strict requirements of endorsement, low or simply no income prevents poor farmers from receiving loans from commercial loan providers. Without cash to invest in their farms, they are not capable of increasing their farm productivity to improve their standard of living. This new pass back project would allow four HPI projects to start pass back activity and two additional projects to expand their services to assist more farmers. Additionally, together with additional HPI projects located funds, they will also create a base for starting a network of local funds of mutual assistance.
